I’m so excited to announce LNU’s first QTMadKrip Anthology “Unchained Poets Society Volume I.” Even though this is an open call for disabled writers, Priority publishing will be for Black QTMadKrip Writers.

We are Bold & Unapologetic and dedicated to Gender Justice, Queer Justice, and Disability Justice. We believe in showing up as our full selves and creating from our experiences.

Hello Beautiful People! Im T. S. Banks (he/ze) a Black & QTFatDisabled, genderqueer teaching artist, poet, and playwright from Madison, WI. Im also the founder of Loud ‘N UnChained Theater Co and LNU Publishing House, which is home to Black mad-Krip, neurodivergent, and chronically ill authors and teaching-artists. My work addresses visioning for Black Liberation, a critique of the medical system, radical care + access, madness, QT Mad-Krip Liberation, disability justice, & abolition. Who should submit?
QTMadKrip (Queer, Trans, and Disabled) Writers. Any poets who have attended our weekly LNU Poetry Writing Workshops. Priority publishing will be given to Black QTMadKrip Writers and LNU Poets!
Deadline to Submit is Monday June 30th 11:59pm/PT
Theme: Resistance, Madness and Care
We want to read you poems about madness, resistance, how you care for yourself and others, and stories of how care systems have failed.
Those selected will be notified by August 1st.
LIVE Community Reading and Celebration: Virtually Wed Sept 24th 7pm/CST
CART and ASL Interpretation will be provided.
*Each contributor will receive 2 copies of the anthology.
